A standard Cooling Band for our GER6800SB Speidel Tank.
Cooling Bands are smaller sized jackets which represent a great value in a heat exchanger and a the perfect choice for most winemakers. Cooling Bands offer, on average, about 25%-30% coverage of the outside of the tank, which is plenty to perform temperature maintenance on musts and wines. However, if you have large differences between your ambient temperatures and the temperature you wish to achieve inside the tank, then you may wish to order your tank with a Maximum Coverage jacket instead of a standard Cooling Band. Large temperature differences are characterized as anything over 20F, such as when cold stabilizing a wine. Most winemakers will purchase one or two tanks with a Maximum Coverage jackets and rack wines which need to be stabilized into these tanks to undergo the process.
All Speidel Jackets and Cooling Bands are laser-welded, dimple style jackets.
